The opportunity

As an Operations Manager at Hindmarsh, you will be responsible for leadership, consistency and discipline in the delivery of all projects in Adelaide and for driving the continual improvement in the project delivery phase.

Reporting to the State Manager, you will:

  • Provide leadership, consistency and training in the delivery of all construction projects by driving the continual improvement in the delivery phase.
  • Directly lead and supervise Construction Managers, Project Directors & Project Managers to ensure overall project planning, organisation and administration.
  • Provide leadership, technical guidance and support to project teams to address all issues arising on projects including financial, safety, quality, program, design management, procurement, industrial relations, project staffing, subcontractor management and client relations.
  • Ensure compliance and consistency with Hindmarsh SQE systems and processes.
  • Ensure all projects under your management deliver to target dates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Building, Construction or equivalent
  • Hold a building Licence in the relevant State
  • 15 + years of construction experience in a variety of sectors, client types and project values.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant Construction legislation
  • Experience leading project teams and managing performance
  • Expert negotiation, influencing and dispute resolution
  • High level interpersonal and relationship building
