Why you will love Working Here

Getting older can mean giving up a lot, your home, your routine, your sense of independence. We don’t think it should.

With more than 800 team members and 200 volunteers, we’re here to help people keep living the life they love, with reliable in-home and community care, a local team who knows the neighbourhood, and the kind of support that always has time for a cuppa and a chat.

And we look after our team the same way. We offer real support, meaningful recognition, and rewards that reflect the difference you make every day.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Clear, supported career pathways and training to help you grow
  • Full induction and buddy shifts
  • Branded workwear
  • Not-for-profit salary packaging ($15,900 per annum)
  • Leave loading to make your time off even more rewarding
  • Monthly clinical development sessions and a CPD allowance to support your learning goals
  • Flexible and hybrid working options
  • Employee referral reward program - because good people know good people
  • Fitness Passport - access to gyms and wellness facilities
  • Employee Assistance Program - confidential support when you need it
  • QLeave - portable long service leave that recognises long-term care work

What you will be doing

As a Community Occupational Therapist, you’ll join a warm, skilled Allied Health team delivering holistic, evidence-based support that helps people stay independent, active, and connected to the life they love.

  • Working closely with customers, carers, and community partners to tailor care
  • Sharing knowledge with the team and contributing to service improvements

This is a Permanent Part-time role (45.6 hours a fortnight) based in Bundaberg. We offer flexibility around your working days – tell us what works best for you in your cover letter.

This is a chance to make a real impact in your local community.

You will Thrive in this role if you

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration
  • Have experience supporting older people with OT care in the community
  • Are confident on the road, with a current driver’s licence and insured vehicle
  • Communicate with warmth and clarity, building trust with ease
  • Are tech-savvy and detail-oriented, keeping notes and plans up to date
  • Stay committed to learning – from First Aid refreshers to professional networks
  • Know how to motivate others and support people with complex needs
  • Hold (or are willing to get) First Aid, CPR, and a National Criminal History Check
