We are seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic Band B1 Leader - Coordinator Aboriginal Education and SAASTA. This position focuses on establishing and leading SAASTA programs and cross curricula history and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders designed to engage, support and re-connect students with their learning. The role involves developing an inclusive program that addresses barriers to engagement, builds on student strengths, and provides flexible pathways aligned with individual learning goals to improve Aboriginal student learning outcomes.

Working collaboratively with staff, families, community and external agencies, the position ensures high-quality teaching and wellbeing practices that foster respect, persistence, confidence and responsibility.

What you will bring

  • Knowledge of SAASTA programs and Australian Curriculum; in particular the cross curricula priority related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and engage with students, parents, and external agencies effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and current research to lead and manage change that improve Aboriginal student learning outcomes
  • Successful experience in implementing initiatives/programs that enhance attendance, engagement and learning outcomes for students.
