As an Ambulance Transport Attendant, you’ll support people in your community by providing safe, professional non‑emergency patient transport—helping patients move comfortably between home, hospitals, and specialist appointments.
Since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) has delivered vital aeromedical, emergency and primary health care across Australia. Through our Patient Transport Service, we provide non‑emergency patient transport in Victoria and New South Wales, supporting patients with safe, compassionate care as they travel between home, hospitals and specialist clinics—on the ground and in the air.
About The Role
Flying Doctor Patient Transport are currently seeking applications from a Registered Paramedic or a Registered Nurse in Bankstown. This casual role offers flexibility, structured training, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive environment—without the pressures of emergency response work.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
- Perform patient assessment and clinical interventions during road transport
- Deliver safe, compassionate care aligned with RFDS clinical guidelines and NEPT regulations
- Monitor patients and evaluate responses to treatment en‑route
- Work collaboratively with a partner clinician in a team‑based model
Qualifications And Experience Required
- AHPRA Registration in Paramedicine or Nursing
- Valid NSW Full Driver’s Licence
- NEPT experience is a plus, but not essential

Mandatory Vaccination Policy
