About the Role
The Value Chain Development Specialist plays a key role in delivering MLA’s Carcase Value program by turning technical insights into practical, commercially relevant actions for industry. Working closely with partners, the role supports the deployment of innovations that unlock value across beef, sheepmeat and goatmeat supply chains, while helping producers improve profitability and sustainability through adoption and practice change.
Our ideal Value Chain Development Specialist has:
- Degree in agricultural science or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Commercial experience within the red meat industry (preferred).
- Data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and within small, high‑performing teams.
- Experienced presenter to small and large groups.
- Broad understanding of Australian livestock and meat supply chains.
- Advanced Microsoft Office capability.
