Technical Sales Representative

We’re hiring a Technical Sales Representative to grow our contractor and applicator business across New South Wales. This is a hunting role, we’re after someone who chases new business, opens doors and builds a territory from the front foot. Construction or waterproofing experience is a plus, but if you’ve got a genuinely strong sales background and the drive to learn the product, we want to hear from you.

About Fatra

Fatra Australia supplies, manufactures and distributes high-performance waterproofing membranes, insulation, and construction chemicals to the Australian construction industry. We cater to the entire building envelope, with a portfolio spanning Fatrafol PVC membranes, the InnoPro Liquid and Torch-on ranges, and InnoTherm insulations which are used on everything from major commercial developments to specialised below-grade and roofing projects.

Fatra is in a strong growth phase, backed by serious product, systems and infrastructure investment.

The role

This is a hands-on, field-based sales role focused on winning and growing waterproofing contractor and applicator business across NSW. You’ll be the face of Fatra on the ground — chasing new accounts, expanding existing ones, and making sure our customers have the product, support and technical know-how to get the job done. We’re after a hunter, not a farmer.

Day to day, you’ll be:

• Hunting new business: nurturing warm leads through our contractor training programme, prospecting, cold-calling, quoting and converting opportunities

• Building and growing a portfolio of waterproofing contractor and applicator accounts across NSW

• Spending time on site, supporting customers through application and project delivery

• Providing technical advice on product selection, detailing and best-practice application

• Running product demonstrations and on-site training

• Working closely with the specifications and national sales teams to convert pipeline into sales

• Keeping on top of pricing, orders and account management

• Tracking the market: competitor activity, pricing and emerging opportunities

Who we’re looking for

• A proven hunter: you back yourself to open doors, chase new business and hit targets

• A strong sales track record (construction, waterproofing or construction chemicals preferred, but not essential for the right person)

• If you’re from outside the industry, a genuinely strong sales background and the drive to learn the product fast

• An existing network of NSW waterproofing contractors and applicators is a strong advantage

• Proven ability to learn and sell technical products or systems: you get up to speed fast and can hold a credible technical conversation

• Comfortable on site talking detailing and application with the people doing the work

• A self-starter who can manage a territory without being micromanaged

• Confident running demos and product training

• Already living and working in Australia

• Driver’s licence

What’s on offer

$110,000–$130,000 base (based on experience)

Fully maintained company vehicle, fuel card and tolls
