We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety Co-ordinator Regional to join the Safety Team in the Pilbara Region. Based in Port Hedland or Karratha, (No FIFO), we are looking for a passionate and safety focused individual to coordinate regional health, safety and wellbeing with our multidisciplinary workforce. In this highly rewarding role where no two days are the same, you will be partnering with leaders and workers to coach and mentor them in a diverse range of safety related matters.

What We Offer

You have the option to work either a 37.5-hour or 40-hour regular work week, and also the choice to work an extra 5 hours per week of commuted overtime.

The role is Monday to Friday with short visits to work sites and depots across the region.

For a 37.5-hour work week, you will receive a competitive salary of $128,158 - $140,570 per annum inclusive of commuted overtime. If you choose to work a 40-hour week the salary will be $136,702 - $149,942 per annum inclusive of commuted overtime. The salary range will be dependent on experience. As part of this generous salary, you will also be entitled to receive an additional 5 days of annual leave (northwest leave) and travel days or have the option to an annual percentage of 3.5% pay out in lieu of northwest leave and travel days.

Other benefits include power subsidies, communication subsidy, annual leave travel concession (reimbursement of return airfares to Perth once per annum) plus 12% superannuation.

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • experienced in coordinating all aspects of work health, safety and wellbeing with a multidisciplinary workforce
  • experienced in facilitating and promoting a culture of work health and safety in line with Work Health and Safety legislative requirements
  • a problem solver with strong attention to detail
  • a strong communicator with an ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Able and willing to undertake regional travel via air and on road, to work with teams in some of our remote regional depots, projects and camps. This travel will require you to work away from home for overnight stays and short periods.
