Non Executive Director
Australian Endometriosis Foundation
Company Description
Despite affecting one in seven Australian women, endometriosis remains underdiagnosed, misunderstood, and underfunded. Diagnosis takes an average of 7-10 years, during which young women endure significant disruption to their education, careers, relationships, and overall quality of life. The systemic neglect of endometriosis has left a gap in research, awareness, and accessible care.
We exist to change that. The Australian Endometriosis Foundation significantly improves wellbeing by providing young endometriosis patients aged 18-35 with an in-person community that understands their challenges and advocates for their needs. Through programs and events, we create engaging positive spaces that educate and normalise conversations about endometriosis, helping to build empowered and connected communities.
In just over two years, we've supported more than 2,000 young women across Australia through face-to-face programs, hospital partnerships, and national summits. We maintain an active database of 20,000+ consumers and are poised to expand our impact through a dedicated social worker program, distribution of CARE Kits, and evidence-based programs grounded in rigorous measurement and evaluation.
