About the Role

We're on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced L&D Manager who can lead, shape and build workforce capability that delivers practical solutions and enhances the employee experience. This is a newly designed role with real opportunity to make an impact. Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll take the reins on the learning strategy, driving capability uplift across corporate, frontline, and management groups, while enhancing performance, and the overall employee experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

Key focus areas

  • Designing and embedding a clear, practical L&D strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Partnering with HR and the broader L&D team to strengthen capability and build a genuine learning culture
  • Leading training initiatives with a strong safety and compliance lens
  • Enhancing onboarding and induction to drive early performance and engagement
  • Partnering with operational leaders to identify capability gaps and deliver targeted solutions
  • Measuring and strengthening the impact of learning programs over time

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Learning and Development, Organisational Development, Psychology or related discipline
  • Extensive leadership experience in learning and development and/or training coordination within a highly regulated environment
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale L&D initiatives
  • Strong understanding of strategic workforce capability, technical training compliance and people development
  • Strong communication, facilitation and program design capability
  • Experience with learning management systems and emerging AI tools
  • Strong project management and delivery skills with working knowledge of change management practices (desirable)
  • Experience in Finance or Banking (desirable)
