We’re Looking For

A proactive and technically strong Senior Accountant to join our Group Accounting team, supporting the financial stewardship of Stockland and helping drive continuous improvement across group reporting and controls.

What You’ll Do

As a key hands on member of the Group Accounting team within the broader Group Financial Control function, you will support the delivery of accurate, complete and timely financial information across the Stockland Group. This role plays an important part in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting compliance and enabling high quality decision making.

You’ll work in a complex and evolving environment where curiosity, initiative and a willingness to challenge the status quo are encouraged. This role exists to strengthen group accounting capability, improve processes and support the organisation through effective financial stewardship.

  • Key responsibilities include
  • Supporting the preparation and review of accurate financial accounting information across the Stockland Group
  • Preparing and reviewing robust balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting group close and consolidation activities including journals, intercompany transactions and business unit month end processes
  • Contributing to audit, tax and regulatory obligations within scope
  • Supporting half year and year end statutory reporting and other group reporting deliverables
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve end to end processes through technology, curiosity and continuous improvement

Experience & Skills That Count

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent
  • Experience in management and financial accounting roles within complex environments
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, good time management and meeting deadlines
