The Role

Reporting into the finance team, the Senior Financial Accountant will gain exposure across financial reporting, compliance, operational finance, and stakeholder engagement within a large and complex environment.

This role has been designed to suit a Big 4 or Mid-Tier first mover looking to step into a broad financial accounting role with strong mentorship, hands-on exposure, and long-term career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end financial reporting and preparation of financial statements
• Support year-end reporting requirements, audit processes, and tax compliance
• Partner with internal stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support
• Gain exposure across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and broader finance operations
• Support BAS, FBT, and indirect tax obligations
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting processes
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives across reporting and finance operations
• Support broader finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

The Candidate

• Big 4 or Mid-Tier Audit / Business Services background preferred
• Strong technical accounting foundation and understanding of financial reporting principles
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
• Motivated to develop a long-term career within industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• CA / CPA qualified or nearing completion
• 3-5+ years’ experience within Audit or Business Services
• Advanced Excel capability and strong systems aptitude highly regarded
