Role Description
VIG Hardware Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time, on-site Sales Representative based in Sydney, NSW, as well as Contractor Sales Agents across VIC, QLD, WA, SA, and TAS to support the company’s expansion throughout Australia.
These roles are responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with window and door manufacturers, fabricators, builders, and distributors, while also managing and growing existing customer accounts.
Key responsibilities include conducting customer visits, product presentations, and technical discussions to understand client requirements and recommend suitable hardware solutions. The roles also involve preparing quotations, negotiating pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines, and following up opportunities to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
Successful candidates will collaborate closely with internal teams on forecasting, order coordination, and logistics, while also providing market insights, competitor feedback, and maintaining accurate sales pipelines and activity records within the CRM system.
Qualifications
- Proven sales experience in new business development, account management, and negotiation, ideally within building materials, hardware, construction, or related technical product industries.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical product features and specifications, including interpreting basic drawings and customer requirements to recommend suitable hardware solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused, consultative sales approach.
- Well-developed organisational and time-management skills, including territory planning, pipeline management, and accurate reporting.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and standard business software for managing customer information, quotations, and sales activities.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.
- Previous experience in window and door hardware, construction, aluminium systems, or building products is highly regarded but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications in business, sales, engineering, or a related field are advantageous; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
