Tax Manager

THE ROLE

• Work closely with a Director and Senior Manager, supporting a fee base of $1.5 million and playing a genuine leadership role within the team
• Mentor and assist a team of 4 junior accountants, including an undergraduate — helping to develop the next generation of talent
• Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements for a diverse client portfolio
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries, present financial results and build trusted, long-term relationships
• Identify tax planning opportunities and structuring advice relevant to client circumstances
• Contribute to internal process improvement and team development initiatives
• Step into real CFO advisory work — including monthly and quarterly dashboard reporting, business strategy and growth planning — for clients who rely on you as a trusted advisor

YOU

• CA or CPA qualified (or near completion) with around 5 years of experience in an Australian practice environment
• Confident preparing and reviewing compliance work
• Comfortable with Xero and cloud-based tools
• Previous experience or strong aptitude to do advisory work
• A natural communicator who can lead juniors, manage upwards and present confidently to clients
