Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Administration Assistant to join the Victorian Specialist Consults service and Victorian Virtual Emergency Department.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role
This role provides a suite of administration support for the Virtual Specialist Consult service and the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department in order to assist in the smooth running and management of clinical sessions across both divisions.
This role is responsible for
- Monitoring registrations and reconciling patient information to ensure registered consumers have correctly joined their consult
- Identifying and supporting registered patients who have not managed to join their consult
- Following up missing administrative details from patients
- Collecting medical history from patients prior to their clinical consult
- Managing appointments for patients or on the directions of the clinician
- Following up radiology/pathology results
- Assisting with data collection for auditing and quality purposes
