The Company

A leading superannuation organisation is seeking an experienced Incident Manager to join its Risk and Compliance function on a permanent, full-time basis based in Melbourne.

About The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Risk and Compliance, this is a key role to ensuring a robust, end-to-end incident and breach management process that meets regulatory obligations, industry standards and community expectations. You will work closely with a broad range of internal stakeholders across risk, compliance, legal, finance, investments and information security, as well as engaging with external parties where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of an efficient and compliant end-to-end incident and breach management process, including triage, root cause analysis, remediation plan review and stakeholder liaison
  • Daily monitoring and maintenance of the incident register to ensure data quality, timeliness and accurate progression of incidents in line with organisational expectations
  • Preparing reports and supporting trend analysis across incidents and breaches for senior management and Board sub-committees
  • Supporting the implementation of remediation and compensation plans to ensure member interests are protected
  • Identifying compliance gaps and monitoring adherence to the incident management process
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, including rolling out process changes and communicating updates to the business and stakeholders
  • Working alongside Risk and Compliance team members to ensure all incident-related activities are completed to a high standard

What You'll Bring

  • A background in a similar role with experience in the superannuation sector
  • Experience in similar incident, breach or compliance management role
  • Strong understanding of the superannuation regulatory environment, including obligations relating to incident and breach management
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and manage remediation activities through to resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound commercial acumen and a proactive, detail-oriented approach
