Lead the delivery of the NSW Government’s Return-to-Work Strategy, driving reform, performance and cross-agency improvement of return-to-work outcomes in the public sector.
About the Role
As the Executive Director, Return to Work Delivery, you will lead the implementation of a whole-of-government strategy, driving coordinated reform to improve return-to-work outcomes across the NSW public sector.
You will partner with senior executives across government to address complex cultural and system barriers, set consistent standards, and deliver sustainable, evidence-based outcomes at scale.
As the Executive Director you will lead a dedicated team of direct reports responsible for the sector wide program. You will draw on data and insights, to shape strategic decision-making, manage risk, and identify opportunities to strengthen performance across agencies.
This is an opportunity to join our Corporate Services Group in the Premier’s Department, where you will work at the centre of government to align cross-agency priorities, influence cultural change, build sector capability, and deliver enduring, system-wide improvements in return-to-work outcomes.

We're Looking For
- Strategic Leadership & Reform: Proven senior executive experience leading large-scale, multi-agency reform to deliver sustained system-wide outcomes.
- Stakeholder Influence & Negotiation: Exceptional ability to influence Ministers, senior executives and cross-agency stakeholders to navigate complex, sensitive environments .
- Policy & Workforce Expertise: Strong understanding of workforce, return to work and legislative frameworks, with capability to shape policy and reform directions.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to leverage data, insights and analytics to inform strategy, manage risk and improve performance.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Ability to build and lead high-performing partnerships across government, central agencies and external stakeholders.
- Program Delivery & Governance: Proven capability to design, govern and deliver complex, large-scale programs with strong oversight and accountability.
