Melbourne (Hybrid) | $100K-$130K + Super + Incentive Structure:

J2 Group is a global Sales Growth Agency operating across Australia, UK, USA, NZ & Asia. We're restructuring for our next phase of growth, and we're building a brand new Account Management function.

This isn't your typical AM role. You won't be doing delivery, managing campaigns, or coordinating projects. We have a dedicated fulfilment team for that. Your one job: own the relationship, drive retention, and grow contract value. Pure client success and commercial focus while having a deep understanding of the mechanics of their campaigns.

If you've crushed it in outbound sales (SDR/BDR) and are ready to own a portfolio of high-value accounts where your commercial instincts and relationship skills actually drive revenue, this is your shot.

What You'll Do

  • Own high-value B2B client relationships as their strategic partner and advocate
  • Drive retention and expansion; your success is measured by contract growth, retention, and renewal rates
  • Identify upsell opportunities and execute expansion strategies
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with clients to align on goals, demonstrate ROI, and uncover growth opportunities
  • Act as the client's voice internally, translate feedback into product/service improvements without getting pulled into operations
  • Report directly to the Founder on account health, expansion pipeline, and strategic client initiatives

Who You Are

  • Outbound Sales Background: 3-5+ years with proven experience in SDR/BDR or similar quota-carrying roles. You understand the hunt and know how to close.
  • Commercially Minded: You naturally spot opportunities, think in terms of contract value and LTV, and aren't afraid to have commercial conversations
  • Relationship Builder: You're excellent face-to-face, you build trust quickly, and clients see you as a partner, not a vendor
  • Retention-Focused: You've managed client portfolios before (or are ready to) and understand that keeping clients happy AND growing them is the game
  • Data-Driven: You make decisions based on metrics—NPS, churn rate, expansion %, contract value—not gut feel
  • Self-Directed: You don't need hand-holding. You see what needs to happen and you make it happen.

Bonus Points

* Experience in B2B SaaS, lead gen, or sales enablement industries

* Understanding of outbound sales operations (you've lived it, so you can speak the client's language)

Compensation Breakdown

  • Base: $100K-$130K (including superannuation), depending on experience
  • OTE: tied to retention %, contract value growth, and expansion revenue
