Primary objective
Support the Regional Fleet Team Leader in delivering timely and high-quality fleet services by managing customer enquiries and
co-ordinating servicing, maintenance, and repair activities for government vehicles and equipment.
Context statement
NT Fleet manages the light and heavy fleet for most government agencies and is responsible for the management, purchase,
disposal and maintenance of the fleet. Vehicles are leased to government agencies at commercial rates with a key focus on
providing low cost, fit for purpose vehicles which meet operational needs.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Assist the Regional Fleet Team Leader ensure efficient and cost-effective schedule for the servicing and maintenance of
light and heavy vehicles in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines and NT Fleet policies.
2. Arrange service appointments, raise, and issue Fleet Service Orders and other necessary documentation for vehicle
servicing, accident and minor repairs to all light and heavy vehicles including plant and equipment.
3. Arrange for the recall, inspection and repair of motor vehicles of defects or recall campaigns.
4. Maintain accurate records in the Fleet Business System (FBS) by entering and updating service orders, repair details,
invoices, and vehicle maintenance history, ensuring all records are complete, correctly coded, supported by
documentation, and compliant with internal procedures and audit requirements.
5. Provide timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries, escalating complex matters as required
Selection criteria
Essential
1. A working knowledge of large fleet operations including the provision of servicing schedules, routine maintenance, and
accident repair assessment.
2. Proven ability to work effectively in a team support role; with a high-level of personal motivation, attention to detail,
sound judgement, the ability to maintain confidentiality and a clear understanding of the need for tact and diplomacy.
3. Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational and time management skills; with
demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks.
4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision.
5. Sound knowledge in computer systems, records management and business systems, or the ability to obtain

professionally and effectively at all levels and with people from diverse backgrounds.
7. Current NT “C Class” driver’s license and ability to drive a manual vehicle.
