Electrical Project Engineer

BEC Engineering is a well-established and respected Electrical, Power and Control Systems Engineering Services firm located in Burswood.

With a solid pipeline of large projects on hand, BEC is keen to appoint a Project Engineer to our major projects team.

Responsibilities

Working on a variety of Power System, Electrical and Controls projects, this position will be responsible for the overall delivery of BEC's engineering consulting services for large capital projects.

• Ensure clients needs are delivered in timely and efficient manner.
• Manage engineering, project, commissioning or installation teams to deliver projects according to schedule, budget and scope.
• Oversee quality control throughout project life cycle to ensure compliance to project objectives and deliverables.
• Managing liaison and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including clients, engineering teams, subcontractors and vendors.
• Financial responsibilities including monitoring actual vs. budget, invoicing and procurement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and post graduate project management qualifications.
• A solid background in electrical engineering design for mineral processing projects would be preferred.
• 10 years experience with electrical engineering project management in mining, mineral processing or industrial sector. Experience with a EPC firm or electrical engineering consultancy would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills required, with track record in managing relationships with engineers, clients, vendors and sub-contractors.
• Proven track record in delivering large scale engineering and construction projects under budget and on time in the WA mining sector.
• Commercial awareness is essential, with the ability to manage budgets and execute effective cost control.
