CDS is seeking an exceptional senior clinical leader to join us for an initial three-month contract to provide organisation-wide leadership across clinical services, complex care, governance, innovation, and strategic health partnerships.
This is an opportunity to influence the delivery of safe, person-centred and evidence-based care for people with intellectual disability and complex health needs, while helping shape the future of disability health service delivery at a state and national level.
You will work closely with the CEO, Board, senior stakeholders, government partners, universities, clinicians and sector leaders to strengthen clinical systems, guide major health initiatives, and support emerging service models that improve outcomes for people with disability.

About The Role
Reporting to the CEO, this senior leadership role provides oversight of all clinical services and health-related programs across CDS.
You will lead clinical operations and strategic projects including the Complex Care Service (CCS), the I-CAN suite of tools and related initiatives, clinical governance frameworks, workforce capability, quality systems, and new health and innovation projects.
This role requires a highly credible clinician and leader who can operate strategically while remaining practical and outcomes focused.

About You
You are an experienced and highly credible clinical leader with the ability to influence across complex systems and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
You bring:
- Registration as a health professional ( AHPRA or equivalent)
- Significant senior or executive clinical leadership experience
- Expertise in clinical governance, health systems leadership and service quality
- Experience leading complex multidisciplinary teams and clinical operations
- Strong stakeholder engagement capability across government, health and community sectors
- Experience driving organisational change, service development and innovation
- High-level analytical capability with experience interpreting clinical, operational and financial information
- Outstanding communication, influencing and relationship management skills
- A genuine commitment to human rights, inclusion and improving health equity for people with disability
Experience in disability, intellectual disability health, complex care, research partnerships or community-based health settings will be highly regarded.

Position Details
- Initial 3-month contract to support increased organisational demand and key projects
- Minimum 0.6 FTE (full-time preferred)
- Immediate commencement preferred
- Some interstate travel and occasional out-of-hours work may be required
- National Police Check and role-relevant screening checks required
- Ongoing Australian work rights essential
- Camperdown, NSW location (with some flexibility by agreement)
