The Opportunity

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Sustainability Advisor for a fixed term parental leave backfill role (approximately 19 months), working with a Sustainability Specialist, joining our Safety, Risk & Environment Team.

This is your opportunity to support the delivery and evolution of DBCT P/L’s sustainability framework through data-driven monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating internal and external sustainability reporting, providing trusted advice across the business, and ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and contemporary standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Coordinate, analyse, and report sustainability data to support the delivery of the sustainability framework and legislative obligations
  • Maintain data integrity through validation, system checks, and continuous improvement of reporting processes
  • Support the implementation of sustainability strategies, policies, and standards
  • Facilitate accurate, timely internal and external sustainability reporting aligned to current frameworks and requirements
  • Provide clear, practical sustainability advice to stakeholders across the business
  • Coordinate and contribute to sustainability improvement initiatives
  • Build capability and awareness by coaching teams and embedding consistent sustainability practices

What You’ll Bring

You’re someone who thrives on purpose-driven work and enjoys influencing positive change. You’ll also have:

  • Relevant qualifications in sustainability, environmental science/management, data science, or a related field (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, reporting frameworks, and legislative requirements (highly regarded)
  • Proven ability to analyse data, generate insights, and deliver quality reports
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong organisational and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence working with data and reporting systems
