About The Opportunity
Join the Hunter Valley Lower Mid North Coast Mental Health Service and be part of a dynamic, recovery-focused team delivering high-quality care to people experiencing complex mental health challenges. Our integrated model includes community-based mental health teams, a 24-bed acute psychiatric unit at Maitland Hospital and a 20-bed acute psychiatric unit at Manning Base Hospital. This allows people to receive seamless care from home-based treatment through to inpatient support and post-discharge follow-up. We work across Maitland, Dungog, Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook, Upper Hunter, Taree, Forster, Gloucester, Bulahdelah and surrounding Lower Mid North Coast communities. You’ll collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, applying trauma-informed principles and contributing to meaningful outcomes for consumers and their families. Strong clinical support is provided by experienced leaders, including the Community Team Leader and Service Manager. Our service operates Monday – Friday 0800 – 1630.

You Are
A Motivated And Compassionate Mental Health Professional Who
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes
- Brings solid clinical experience in mental health practice
- Understands intake, early intervention, and shared care models
- Values consumer and family/carer-focused approaches
- Applies trauma-informed care in everyday practice
- Builds strong therapeutic and professional relationships
- Communicates effectively within a multidisciplinary team
