Where you’ll be working: With the Aged Care Services Emergency Team (ASET) team at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

What you’ll be doing: You will be working with the Aged Care Services Emergency Team (ASET) which provides a consult service for patients 70 years and older who present to the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Emergency Department. ASET work collaboratively with Emergency Department staff to achieve optimal care and management of the elderly patient.

ASET team assess and identify complex issues inclusive of frailty and refer and facilitate access to other relevant services if medically cleared from the Emergency Department.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and initiating activities to improve clinical service delivery and patient clinical outcomes.
  • Demonstrated skills in computer use and applications such as Windows, word processing and database.
  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
