Join a dedicated Sterilising Services team committed to maintaining high standards of infection prevention and patient safety. The department supports a wide range of clinical areas, ensuring timely availability of sterile equipment to meet hospital demands
- Previous experience as a Grade 2 Sterilising Technician within a healthcare setting with sound knowledge of sterilising standards, infection control practices, and relevant guidelines.
- Contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare by supporting the reprocessing of reusable medical devices at Bankstown Hospital.
- Demonstrate initiative and continuous learning while adapting to evolving service needs and best practice standards. Apply and further develop your technical skills in a fast-paced setting with high workload demands and critical turnaround timeframes
- Work within a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment, supporting clinical services across the hospital.
- Enjoy flexible working arrangements, including rotating shifts, to support a 24/7 operational service.

Selection Criteria

- Certificate II or III in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent.
- Describe the steps you take to maintain compliance with AZ5369:2023 during daily reprocessing tasks.
- Provide an example of how you have worked effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Describe your experience with endoscope reprocessing and how you ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Explain how identify and report faults or issues with instruments or equipment.
