Adecco is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a well-established industrial workshop based in Brisbane, QLD.

This is a hands-on workshop role supporting the overhaul, repair, testing, and rewinding of rotating electrical equipment within a highly technical industrial environment. The position offers long-term stability, consistent overtime, and the opportunity to work on complex AC/DC motors and rotating equipment across heavy industry sectors.

Paying between $44 - $46 per hour + overtime .

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out stator and armature rewinds on AC/DC motors and rotating equipment
  • Perform fault finding, repair, assembly, and workshop testing activities
  • Conduct electrical testing including:
    • IR/Megger testing
    • Surge testing
    • Resistance balance testing
    • Hi-Pot testing
  • Interpret and replicate winding data and winding configurations
  • Complete workshop documentation, inspection reports, and test records
  • Support root cause analysis and failure investigations
  • Assist with mechanical inspections including bearings, balancing, rotor checks, and runout inspections
  • Follow strict workshop safety and isolation procedures including lock out/tag out and test-for-dead requirements

About you

  • Trade qualified Electrical Fitter with a current Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Electrical Fitter)
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-trade experience in motor rewinding or rotating equipment repair
  • Strong hands-on experience with stator and armature rewinding
  • Experience working with industrial motors, generators, or rotating machinery
  • Strong understanding of workshop testing and diagnostics procedures
  • Ability to work within structured QA and compliance-driven environments
  • Strong safety awareness and understanding of electrical isolation procedures
  • Experience within industrial, rail, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments highly regarded
