About Our Client
We are seeking a hands-on Accountant to provide short-term support within a busy finance team. This role is primarily focused on day-to-day financial accounting activities, ensuring business-as-usual operations continue smoothly during a period of increased workload.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and contributing across core finance functions.
Job Description
- Assist with month-end (journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation)
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Support AP/AR, including invoicing, allocations, and queries
- Assist with BAS, PAYG and compliance reporting
- Support audit preparation and year-end workpapers
- Provide support during ERP implementation, including data preparation, validation, and post-migration checks
- Assist with maintaining accuracy of financial data during system transition
The Successful Applicant
- CPA/CA qualified or currently working towards
- Previous experience within a Financial Accountant or Accountant position
- Strong understanding of month-end close and general ledger processes
- Experience with reconciliations, journals and compliance reporting
- Exposure to audit support and statutory obligations
- Strong Excel and ERP systems capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
