We're looking for a practical, people-focused leader to join our Field Services team as a Team Leader Civil Maintenance. In this role, you'll lead a skilled crew delivering important civil maintenance works that directly impact the everyday experience of our community-from footpaths and concrete infrastructure to creeks and drainage.

You'll be part of a collaborative leadership group that supports each other, shares knowledge, and takes pride in developing their teams. About the role

Based at Golden Grove and reporting to the Supervisor Civil Maintenance, you'll lead a team delivering both programmed and reactive maintenance across a range of civil assets including concrete and paved infrastructure and creek and drainage systems

  • Road pavements and unsealed footpaths
  • Street sweeping and general civil works

This role combines hands-on leadership with planning and coordination responsibility-supporting your team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the team to deliver civil maintenance works safely and effectively
  • Embed a strong safety culture, ensuring risks are identified and managed
  • Coach and develop team members to achieve performance and capability outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve work practices and service delivery
  • Monitor budgets and support planning of work programs and resources
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day team performance management

About You

You're a practical leader who enjoys working with people and getting things done. You bring:

  • Proven experience leading and motivating a team in a civil or construction environment
  • Strong knowledge of civil maintenance practices and work planning
  • The ability to problem-solve, prioritise and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and team development

The successful candidate will also have

  • Certificate in Leadership or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Current Class HR Driver's Licence
  • Work Safely in Construction (White Card)
  • Temporary Traffic Management / Work Zone Traffic Management (or willingness to obtain)
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and national police check

Salary range is between $90,733 (Level 2) and $98,968 (Level 3) plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
