Lead the Day Shift. Drive the Outcome.

Allspec Engineering Pty Ltd is looking for a full-time Workshop Supervisor (Day Shift) based in Hope Valley, Perth.

Reporting to the Workshop Superintendent, you will oversee the day shift operations — ensuring production targets are met, teams are effectively managed, and projects progress safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on supervision, coordination, and accountability — not working on the tools.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising day shift workshop operations to ensure production targets are achieved
  • Leading and directing fabrication teams to maintain workflow, pace, and quality
  • Coordinating handovers between night and day shift to ensure continuity across projects
  • Driving safety-first behaviours and ensuring compliance with WHS and ISO standards
  • Monitoring team performance and addressing productivity or behavioural issues
  • Providing clear instructions and maintaining accountability across labour hire teams
  • Supporting QA/QC processes including inspections and fabrication standards
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet project timelines and deliverables
  • Maintaining accurate reporting and communication with management

What You Bring to the Table

To qualify, you will need to be a trade-qualified Boilermaker with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in heavy structural steel fabrication. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a workshop environment will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Strong leadership experience in workshop or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to manage diverse teams, including labour hire workforces
  • Solid understanding of fabrication processes, timelines, and productivity expectations
  • Knowledge of WHS practices and workshop compliance requirements
  • Forklift licence (highly regarded)
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience working across shift-based or high-volume production environments

As our ideal candidate, you will be a confident and assertive leader who can hold teams accountable, maintain standards, and ensure work is completed to expectation. You will bring strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage performance in a fast-paced environment.

This is a critical role suited to someone who thrives on responsibility, takes ownership of outcomes, and can lead effectively in a day shift environment where structure, discipline, and leadership presence are essential.

What’s on Offer

Compensation is competitive and aligned with market expectations, including:

  • Circa $60/hour
  • Stable, Perth-based role (no FIFO)
  • Monday to Friday day shift schedule
  • Opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a growing business
  • Strong pipeline of fabrication projects
  • Supportive, team-based culture
  • Career progression opportunities within operations and leadership
