Job Description
- Lead group month-end processes, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and strong general ledger integrity, including reconciliations and balance sheet control.
- Oversee tax, payroll, and statutory obligations across global entities, ensuring full compliance, audit readiness, and effective governance frameworks.
- Manage year-end audit processes, coordinate with external auditors and advisors, and ensure high-quality statutory and management reporting.
- Support acquisition accounting with seamless integration of new entities into financial systems, processes, and reporting structures.
- Own group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and standardisation of accounting policies while driving continuous improvement and scalable finance processes.
- Identify risks and control gaps, implement improvements, and support system enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Deliver technical accounting guidance, support finance team capability, and partner with stakeholders to improve financial discipline and decision-making.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior Financial Accountant Should Have
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA/CPA qualification.
- Big 4/Mid tier audit background (desirable).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including Australian Accounting Standards.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
