GRPS is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Operations Readiness, Commissioning & Project Start-Up to lead complex mobilisation, commissioning and operational transition programs across the energy and resources sectors. This is a high impact leadership role responsible for driving the successful transition of projects from mobilisation through commissioning and into steady state operations, ensuring operational readiness, contractual compliance, and safe, efficient project delivery.
About The Role
Reporting to the GM Advisory Services, you will take ownership of project management across all readiness and start-up phases, leading integrated delivery across operations. You will be responsible for ensuring operational capabilities, systems, processes and governance frameworks are fully implemented and ready prior to operations handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operations readiness, mobilisation, commissioning and project start-up activities across multiple workstreams
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk and reporting requirements
- Develop and execute commissioning plans including pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing and handover
- Coordinate system handovers, punch list management and vendor/OEM engagement
- Drive operational readiness activities across cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, contractual obligations and GRPS standards
- Oversee implementation and testing of operational systems including CMMS, PTW and HSE reporting systems
- Coordinate asset data migration, maintenance strategies and operational documentation
- Provide leadership reporting, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain strong focus on HSEQ compliance and safe project delivery
About You
You are a highly organised and commercially minded project leader with strong commissioning and operational transition experience.
You Will Bring
- 10+ years’ experience in operations readiness, mobilisation, commissioning or operational transition projects within energy and resources sectors
- Strong project management capability across risk, schedule, governance and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated experience delivering O&M mobilisation or readiness programs
- Knowledge of Australian WHS and regulatory frameworks
- Experience implementing operational systems such as CMMS, PTW or HSE reporting platforms
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in fast paced project environments
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management or related discipline
- Project Management or Asset Management qualifications highly regarded
- WHS qualifications or demonstrated WHS legislative knowledge advantageous
