This is a fixed term, full time vacancy available for 12 months, with the possibility of extension, and/or permanency, subject to business requirements

About The Role
Join the Climate and Environment team in an exciting newly created role that will help shape sustainability, drive positive impact and deliver meaningful change across the department.
The Climate and Environment Branch develops, directs and manages environmental compliance and sustainability across the Department. It develops, leads and implements environmental strategy and initiatives that reduce environmental impact, ensures alignment with environmental legislation and policy, and drives continuous improvement across sustainability practices to support responsible, future focused assets and operations.
The Program and Compliance Officer will have previous climate and/or environmental experience, and support the development and delivery of environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives by co-ordinating program activities, monitor climate and environmental legislation and policy requirements, maintain environmental licencing and data and manage reporting allied with the WA Emissions Reductions Framework.

- Demonstrated experience working within compliance and/or climate and environmental programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of climate and environmental legislation
