National Workers Compensation Manager

We are now looking for a senior leader to take ownership of our national workers’ compensation and injury management strategy, driving meaningful outcomes for both our people and the business.

About the role

This is a high-impact national role where you will lead the direction, performance, and continuous improvement of our workers’ compensation and injury management framework across Australia. You will partner closely with leaders, insurers, and healthcare providers to ensure positive recovery-at-work outcomes, while proactively reducing risk, managing claims effectively, and influencing better business outcomes.

You will also lead and coach a specialist team, providing strategic guidance on complex cases and acting as a trusted advisor across the business.

What you will be doing

  • Lead end-to-end workers’ compensation and injury management strategy across multiple jurisdictions
  • Manage complex and high-risk claims, driving timely and effective recovery outcomes
  • Partner with senior leaders to influence better injury management practices
  • Build strong relationships with insurers, regulators, and external providers
  • Use data and insights to identify trends, reduce costs, and improve performance
  • Develop capability across the business through coaching, training, and governance frameworks

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in workers’ compensation and injury management in a large, complex environment
  • Strong knowledge of legislative requirements across multiple states
  • Demonstrated success in improving claims performance and reducing costs
  • The ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
  • High levels of resilience, judgement, and emotional intelligence when managing sensitive matters
