The Opportunity

Due to continued growth at our Dandenong South site, Chobani is looking for a Maintenance Electrician – Night Shift (10.00pm - 6:00am) The role will be accountable for assisting in the development and implementation of plant reliability and maintenance programs .

The role is responsible for the development and training of key manufacturing staff through the project and commissioning phases to ensure plant efficiencies and quality targets are met within the agreed time lines.

The Electrical Technician has a key role within projects to manage third party equipment supplier/ contractors and to act as a technical reference point in conjunction with the Project Manager for development of core processes and scoping of electrical project solutions.

The role will act as an electrical technical resource for the business and lead continuous improvement initiatives which deliver improvements in quality, cost, delivery and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Ideally to be successful in the role you’ll have:

  • Electrical certification: A-Grade electrical trade qualification
  • 5 - 8 year work and commissioning experience in a high speed manufacturing plant environment
  • Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Quality/Food Safety Management and ISO Certification
  • Food or Dairy experience at least 2 - 3 years
  • Experience in process control/instrumentation and SCADA systems, understanding of electrical schematics and P&IDs
  • Experience in using Mex or similar CMMS software
  • Competence and hazard awareness within an industrial process industry and advantage
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
