What you'll be doing
- Prepare and review complex financial statements, tax returns, special purpose reports and reconciliations across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
- Working closely with Partners, lead, delegate and coordinate work across your team - assigning the right work to the right people, reviewing outputs, and keeping everything on time and within budget.
- Manage client relationships proactively - understanding their needs and identifying opportunities.
- Coach, mentor and develop your team displaying day-to-day leadership by example.
- Maintain technical knowledge across all statutory and regulatory requirements, ensuring work papers and client files meet Findex compliance standards.
What you'll bring
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification and a relevant degree - non-negotiable for this role.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, in a public practice environment with exposure to complex entity structures.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team - you're someone who takes pride in the growth of the people around you, not just the quality of your own work.
- Strong commercial acumen and exceptional attention to detail - you can translate technical work into clear, practical guidance for clients.
- A diplomatic, proactive style - you build trust with clients and colleagues alike, and you represent the firm with professionalism in every interaction.
