About The Role

We are seeking a Strategic P&C Initiatives Lead to play a critical role in shaping and enabling enterprise-wide People & Culture (P&C) initiatives.

This is a high-impact role focused on influencing decision-making, driving alignment and shaping organisational outcomes.

Working closely with P&C Strategic Partners and Senior Leaders, you will frame complex organisational challenges, shape strategic direction and mobilise key initiatives. You will translate business priorities into clear strategic intent and ensure initiatives are set up for success through the right governance, ownership and alignment.

The role is permanent, full time based in Blackburn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Enablement: Shape and mobilise critical P&C initiatives, translating organisational goals into clear problem statements, strategic outcomes and success measures.
  • Senior Influence: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing evidence-based insights and shaping decision-making through insight, challenge and strategic guidance.
  • Enterprise Integration: Connect efforts across P&C, ensuring initiatives are aligned, with shared accountability and integrated delivery to maximise organisational impact.
  • Governance & Oversight: Establish fit-for-purpose governance and provide concise, outcomes-focused reporting to enable effective strategic decision-making.

About You

You are a highly credible, strategic operator with experience navigating complex environments — ideally within a mission-led or not-for-profit context. You excel at partnering with senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes and shaping direction in ambiguous settings, bringing both rigour and empathy to your approach.

Key Capabilities

  • A relevant degree in HR, Business or Project Management or related field or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex P&C or HR initiatives (e.g. workforce strategy, capability, HR systems, transformation).
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and advise senior leaders to drive aligned outcomes.
