About the role

The Australia Institute is seeking a Marketing Officer to amplify our research, events and books. This role is suited to someone who can plan and execute marketing activity, contribute to strategy, and improve how the Institute reaches and engages audiences across Australia.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and creating marketing materials for events, books and research
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop campaigns
  • Collecting and analysing data on campaign performance

About You

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Officer with:

  • 3–6 years’ experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field
  • Proven ability to independently manage and deliver end-to-end marketing campaigns
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into marketing plans
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to create content with Adobe Creative Suite including Indesign and Final Cut Pro
  • Experience in the not-for-profit, advocacy, government, or policy sectors (desirable)
  • Experience with paid digital advertising campaigns (desirable)
  • Familiarity with Australian political, social, or policy issues (desirable)
