About the role

Think Systems is growing. We are looking for systems thinkers and practical problem solvers with experience in Systems Engineering & Integration, Safety Assurance, Human Factors or RAMS who want to work on complex programs where the work genuinely matters.

We are not building a volume consultancy. We are building a specialist, high-performing team trusted by clients for complex, high-consequence work across transport, infrastructure and defence.

We’re adding consultants to our Sydney and Brisbane teams and have multiple opportunities for professionals with experience working on complex transport, infrastructure or defence projects.

About You

The strongest consultants at Think Systems are not only technically capable, they can think across the full client context: technical, operational, contractual, commercial and people dimensions.

You do not need to be an expert in all of these areas, but you do need the curiosity, judgement and communication skills to understand how your work lands inside a real program environment.

You are an exceptional problem solver who uses every resource and tool available to produce clear, accurate and decision-ready work. You take pride in quality. Your work is practical, authoritative and reliable, requiring minimal supervision to achieve successful results.

You are interested in client positioning, tender responses, proposal development and relationship-building activities because you understand these skills are central to becoming a well-rounded consultant.

Role requirements

• Minimum 3+ years’ relevant experience.
• Expertise in one or more of Systems Engineering, Safety Assurance, Human Factors or RAMS, with the flexibility to support adjacent technical streams and contribute beyond a single discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability, or genuine interest in developing the ability, to make complex problems clear, practical and useful to the audience.
• Practical problem-solving ability and sound professional judgement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel within Australia when required.
