Senior Data Engineer

Well established Insurance organization looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Hybrid working model | 6 months + possible extensions | up to $1200/day incl super | Melbourne CBD

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience in comprehensive end-to-end Snowflake data engineering, spanning pipeline development, data modelling, transformation, and deployment.
• Strong hands-on experience with core Snowflake tools and technologies, including SQL, DBT, Openflow, Snowflake Intelligence, Python, DCM, and Cortex Code.
• Proven expertise in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitHub Workflows.
• Deep understanding of integration platforms and patterns, including API development and management.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python and Jinja, and solid working knowledge of version control via GitHub
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure and interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights and intelligence
• Well-developed reporting and visualisation skills, including advanced proficiency in Power BI and Streamlit
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders and operate effectively within a small team environment.
