We’ve partnered with a boutique specialist cyber consulting firm to appoint their first dedicated, on-the-ground Cyber Business Development Manager.
This isn’t a greenfield startup environment where you’re building from nothing. The business has been operating for over ten years, has supported more than 300 organisations and has built a strong reputation through trusted leadership and organic growth.
With strong momentum already in place, the opportunity is to step in, strengthen existing relationships, accelerate new business and help elevate the next phase of growth.
You’ll take ownership of the full sales cycle across a broad portfolio of cyber consulting and advisory services, working closely with Directors, technical leadership and an expanding marketing function. The goal is simple: build a sustainable, predictable pipeline and grow alongside the business as it scales.

This role covers the complete sales lifecycle, from prospecting and qualification through to discovery, proposal development, negotiation and closing opportunities.
Your day to day?
Drive new business growth
New revenue generation is the core focus. You’ll own sales targets across the cyber portfolio, building and executing target account strategies across mid-market, government and regulated industries. Prospecting activity will span outbound channels including phone, LinkedIn, email campaigns and broader network engagement, while also converting inbound marketing opportunities into qualified pipeline.
Lead opportunities end-to-end
You’ll run discovery conversations with CISOs, IT Managers, GRC leaders and executive stakeholders, partnering with the Information Security Lead to scope engagements and create tailored proposals and Statements of Work. From there, you'll manage commercials and drive deals through to close.
Generate your own momentum
Marketing support exists, but success won’t rely solely on inbound activity. You'll proactively build self-generated pipeline through outbound activity, referrals, events and activating your broader network.
Build strategic partnerships
Develop referral channels across MSPs, technology partners, legal firms, auditors and adjacent service providers. You'll also identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and drive cross-sell opportunities.
What's on offer
- $160,000–$180,000 base salary + superannuation
- Uncapped commission structure with Year 1 OTE of $220,000+
- Mostly remote working arrangement
