The Role
This highly regarded employment and workplace team advises sophisticated organisations across the education sector, including large private schools and related entities on a broad range of employment, industrial relations and regulatory matters.
The role will involve advising on workplace investigations, disciplinary and performance matters, terminations, enterprise agreements, industrial disputes, employee grievances and workforce management issues. You will also assist clients with strategic advice relating to governance, operational risk and regulatory obligations.
In addition to advisory work, you will gain exposure to complex and sensitive litigation, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, general protections and industrial disputes before courts, commissions and tribunals.

The Right Person
This role would suit someone who has a solid foundation in employment law and is wanting to further develop their career as a specialist. Alternatively, if you are someone who has a genuine interest in employment law, then the team is open to supporting a transition into this practice area.
Ideally, you will have:
- 3–5 years’ post admission experience gained from a reputable firm;
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
- A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities
- A genuine interest in developing your career in employment and workplace law
