Where you'll be working
SESLHD is one of the largest local health districts in Sydney, covering a geographical area of 468 square kilometres from Sydney’s central business district, the beaches from Bondi to Cronulla and down to the Royal National Park. We deliver health care to around 930,000 residents across the local government areas of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick, Bayside, Georges River and the Sutherland Shire. We also provide a key role in helping residents of Lord Howe Island. Our staff also deliver high quality health care across a variety of community-based services ranging from pre-birth to palliative care.
The Role
The District Director Pharmacy Services will provide governance for all Pharmacy Services throughout South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) with responsibility for the strategic advancement including adoption of innovative and advanced pharmacy practice changes, implementation and maintenance of appropriate, timely and cost-efficient delivery of District-wide Pharmacy Services. The District Director Pharmacy Services provides expert and timely advice to the Executive Director Operations and SESLHD on pharmacy policy and strategic direction and will ensure consistent, effective and equitable utilisation of pharmacy resources across the District. This position assists in planning, directing and effectively managing the physical, human and financial resources of the SESLHD Pharmacy Services to ensure the achievements of the SESLHD strategic, operational and business plans, and compliance with NSW Health policies. The role will ensure that Pharmacy Services across SESLHD are the right services, provided in their right place, at the right time, to ensure the delivery of optimal and efficient patient-focused care.
