ICT Sourcing Specialist

Contract to 21/06/2027 |Carseldine | Hybrid working

We are partnering with a leading Queensland Government to recruit an experienced ICT Sourcing Specialist. In this role you will contribute to the delivery of ICT sourcing outcomes across departmental programs and initiatives within the department, operating through Queensland Government contracting frameworks including QITC/GITC, in accordance with Queensland Government and departmental policy and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of sourcing approaches to achieve procurement outcomes and realise identified benefits.
• Contribute to end to end sourcing activities, including market research, procurement planning, development of documentation, evaluation processes and contract establishment, in accordance with QITC and Queensland Government procurement requirements.
• Provide informed advice on ICT sourcing processes, procurement approaches and commercial considerations for low to medium complexity procurements, escalating more complex matters as required.
• Assist in the preparation of procurement documentation, including Requests for Quote (RFQs), Statements of Work (SOWs) and evaluation artefacts.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, delivery partners and suppliers to support effective sourcing outcomes.
• Undertake research and analysis to inform procurement activities, sourcing decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and escalate risks and issues arising through sourcing activities, contributing to their mitigation within established governance frameworks.
• Assist in monitoring compliance to ensure procurement activities align with policy, procedural and commercial requirements.
• Prepare documentation including briefing notes, procurement artefacts and correspondence to support sourcing activities.

What we’re looking for?

• Proven track record in ICT procurement within a large enterprise or public sector environment
• (Queensland Information Technology Contracting) and GITC frameworks.
• High-level capability in analyzing market trends and writing highly defined technical Statements of Work (SOWs) and RFQs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to successfully bridge the gap between internal project delivery teams and strategic market vendors.
• A disciplined approach to compliance, ensuring all procurement activities remain transparent, ethical, and aligned with policy criteria.
