About the Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this position will play a key role in supporting the finance function across financial accounting, reporting, audit and process improvement activities.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on environment suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, working through complexity, and driving structure and process improvements within a busy operational business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process journals, accruals and adjustments to support month-end close and financial reporting
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and maintain financial data accuracy
  • Support external audits, statutory reporting requirements and fixed asset accounting activities
  • Assist with inventory, workshop and operational accounting processes across the business
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with finance and operational stakeholders across the organisation

About You

You are a capable and motivated Accountant with approximately 3+ years of experience, ideally gained within industrial, manufacturing, mining, resources or other operationally focused environments.

You will also bring:

  • Strong financial accounting fundamentals across reconciliations, reporting and audit support
  • Advanced Excel capability with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to identify and improve processes
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage operational stakeholders; CA/CPA qualification and ERP system experience highly regarded
