Senior Commercial Manager – Pre-Construction/Construction - Renewables

We are currently partnering with a well-backed renewable energy IPP seeking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager.

This is a genuinely strategic project commercial role, embedded within the broader project team, focused on leading and closing major renewable energy contracts and commercially progressing projects toward Financial Close and execution.

The business seeks someone who has genuinely led complex negotiations before and understands the commercial requirements to move utility-scale renewable energy projects from late-stage development into delivery.

Initially, the role will focus heavily on a major wind project and a utility-scale BESS project currently progressing toward Financial Close.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations and close major renewable energy contracts
• Manage split contracting structures across wind and BESS projects
• Negotiate OEM, BoP, battery supply and EPC-style agreements
• Work closely with technical, finance, grid and delivery teams to drive commercial outcomes
• Identify and manage commercial/project risks
• Support projects through late-stage development into execution
• Operate as a senior commercial lead embedded within project teams

About You

• Proven experience leading and closing complex renewable energy contracts
• Strong experience across utility-scale renewable energy projects
• Wind experience strongly preferred
• BESS exposure considered a minimum
• Strong understanding of project commercial strategy, risk allocation and contracting structures
• Comfortable operating autonomously within lean project teams
• Able to connect technical, commercial and delivery considerations together
• Developer/owner-side experience is highly regarded
