Details: The Senior Director Education Change Management will work closely with the Executive Group Manager System Policy and Reform to lead the coordination and delivery of effective change management across the system. The role is primarily responsible for leading collaborative work across executive leads of major system reform to develop a coherent and integrated approach to change management.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, strategic, self-motivated, and effective system change and policy leader with strong critical thinking skills. They will have demonstrated experience working across government and school systems in managing complex change programs.

The candidate will be highly organised, have good interpersonal skills and the capacity to build relationships. They will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as proven problem-solving abilities. The ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, with competing priorities and with minimal supervision and demonstrate exemplary public administration is also required.

Eligibility/Other Requirements

  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to: Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra.
  • This position will require engagement with schools, school leaders and Education support office staff.

Notes: This is a temporary position available for a period of 12 months until 25 June 2027 with a possibility of permanency. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT.
