Senior Business Analyst I 6 months contract + potential extensions I Clayton, VIC

Your new role

As a Senior BA, you’ll work within the Student Portal team, driving data analysis, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration to support design uplifts and system enhancements.

You’ll also partner closely with UX/UI teams, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, quality, and successful delivery outcomes in a large-scale, complex environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with BAs, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to define scope, requirements, and design improvements
  • Conduct source system analysis, including data mapping, transformation logic, and validation rules
  • Ensure data quality and reconciliation, resolving issues proactively with relevant teams
  • Identify and manage risks and issues using data analysis and reporting tools
  • Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, including technical specifications and reports
  • Uphold data governance, security, and privacy standards
  • Drive continuous improvement in data processes, identifying automation opportunities

Key Selection Criteria

  • Previous experience working within higher education
  • Proven experience as a BA in large, complex environments with varied data quality
  • Strong ability to analyse complex datasets and systems and translate requirements clearly
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and performance optimisation (essential)
  • Data mapping, data quality, and analysis tools
  • JIRA & Confluence for documentation and delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, bridging business and technical teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
