We’re looking for a passionate and people-focused RhED Lead to support and strengthen our Resourcing Health & Education in the Sex Industry (RhED) program a statewide specialist service supporting sex workers across Victoria through health promotion, advocacy, outreach, education, and peer-informed support.

This is a unique opportunity to lead within a program that champions the rights, health, safety, and wellbeing of sex workers while actively challenging stigma and barriers to care.

About The Role

As Team Leader, RhED, you will oversee day-to-day operations, support frontline staff, strengthen service delivery, and foster a positive, collaborative team culture. Working closely with the Program Manager, you will help drive quality outcomes for the sex worker community while supporting staff capability, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Team Leader to lead RhED, Victoria’s specialist sex worker health promotion and support program.

RhED delivers outreach, education, advocacy, and support for sex workers across Victoria, working to improve health, safety, wellbeing, and access to care while reducing stigma and discrimination.

This role is ideal for a strong people leader with experience in community health, peer-based programs, or social services who is passionate about rights-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe practice.

You will bring

  • A strong commitment to the rights, safety, and wellbeing of sex workers
  • Experience leading teams within health, community, or peer-based services
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to support high-quality, person-centred service delivery
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practice
  • Relevant qualification in health, social work, community services, or similar

Highly regarded

  • Lived or living experience in the sex work industry
  • Experience within peer-led, harm reduction, or LGBTIQA+ inclusive services
