The team consists of internationally recognised orthopedic surgeons, sports physicians, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, strength & conditioning coaches, podiatrists, and highly trained clinical researchers. Centaur’s collaborative team provides expertise to manage patients of all ages, abilities, and activity profiles.
Role Description
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our 12-week program, designed to provide hands-on experience in applying sports science principles in a rehabilitation setting. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with practitioners, athletes, and patients, gaining exposure to both performance and clinical environments.
Dates – Friday 19th June to Friday 11th September (12 weeks total)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the set-up and operation of sports science technology, including IMUs, isokinetic dynamometry (IKD), and force plates
- Support data collection sessions with athletes and patients
- Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of performance and rehabilitation data
- Apply strength and conditioning principles to support athlete and patient rehabilitation programs
- Participate in fortnightly workshops (in-person or online) to further develop theoretical and practical knowledge

Please note this is an unpaid position.
Requirements
- Availability for 2 days per week (in-person) over the 12-week program
- Attendance at fortnightly workshops (in-person)
- Strong interest in sports science, rehabilitation, and athlete performance
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
Degree holders or students in:
- Exercise and sports science
- High-performance sport
- Allied health (exercise physiology, physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractors, etc.)
OR
- Cert 4 holders with ASCA Level 1 or equivalent
