Practice Nurse

Part-Time hours: 0.6- -1.0 FTE

Ballarat Group Practice is seeking experienced Practice Nurses to join our professional health support team, with a focus on chronic disease management. Joining this well established and long standing organisation you will play a key role by ensuring the professional image and high-quality patient care is maintained.

The Position

Clinical patient care e.g. ECG’s, chronic and acute wound care, ear syringing, immunisations, minor procedure assistance, general patient observations, etc

Chronic disease management and health assessments

Patient follow up and recall

Record management of confidential clinical data

Complying with infection control standards

Understanding and adhering to health and safety regulations

AHPRA registration

Registered Nurse Div 1 or Enrolled Nurse Div 2

Immunisation qualified preferred, or willingness to complete an authorised immunisation course

Ability to prioritise patient care and workloads while working calmly in a busy environment

Experience working in general practice and/or aged care is advantageous, training and mentorship will be provided

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
