Best known for our high-quality smoked products and strong presence across Sydney’s most iconic premier markets, we are entering a pivotal phase of corporate scaling and wholesale expansion. We are seeking an exceptional, growth-oriented Sales and Marketing Manager to oversee our multi-location sales networks, design a scalable wholesale pipeline, and lead our overarching brand strategy. This position is being recruited for Bondi Smokehouse (operated by The Smoking Nun Pty Ltd, ABN: 36 621 969 864).
Position Overview
- Position Type: Full-time (38 ordinary hours per week)
- Salary: $80,000 per annum + 12% Superannuation
- Location: Sydney, NSW (Requires travel across multiple prominent market locations and wholesale distribution networks)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities & Duties
1. Strategic Brand Direction & Multi-Site Sales Optimisation
• Plan, direct, and coordinate the sales and marketing activities across all active and expanding retail market and wholesale distribution networks.
• Direct the implementation of sales strategies, setting site-specific sales targets to maximise organisational revenue and customer brand loyalty.
• Establish structural logistics and inventory management frameworks, overseeing stock allocation protocols from the central production facility to various high-volume commercial hubs.
2. Business Development & Wholesale Acquisition
• Strategically design and execute a premium wholesale pipeline to place Bondi Smokehouse products into gourmet grocers, boutique retailers, and commercial catering channels.
• Formulate, negotiate, and manage high-level commercial B2B supply contracts, ensuring long-term client retention and multi-channel revenue growth.
3. HR Management, Recruitment & Performance Leadership
• Lead the end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for frontline retail, promotional, and sales teams.
• Personally design and implement interactive sales coaching frameworks, customer engagement training, and motivational structures to optimise staff performance.
• Manage master rostering and operational capacity modelling, balancing staffing levels against strict commercial budgets.
4. Marketing Analytics & Operational Governance
• Direct the development and execution of multi-platform digital marketing strategies, content creation campaigns, and brand image reinforcement.
• Monitor financial performance metrics, evaluate weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all sales channels, and report commercial trends directly to the Managing Director to guide corporate scaling .
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an equivalent advanced postgraduate business-focused degree from a recognised institution is strictly required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of demonstrated professional management experience spanning business strategy, sales operations, marketing infrastructure, and personnel supervision.
- Leadership Capabilities: Proven track record of strategic leadership, with a strong capability to mentor, manage, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced commercial environments.
- Global Perspective: Strong capability to navigate international supply chains, source global market opportunities, and manage diverse, multicultural teams.
- Language Capabilities: Advanced professional communication skills in English; additional fluency in other languages is highly regarded.
- Operational Agility: Valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle to facilitate cross-site operational oversight .
